Hike and Cruise along the Lycian Mediterranean Coast

Arrival at Dalaman Airport and transfer to your gulet in Göcek or Fethiye. Your guide for the week will warmly greet you. As the sun dips below the horizon, enjoy a welcome cocktail and a savory dinner on the deck, marking the beginning of your Turkish odyssey.

Start the day with a delightful breakfast featuring 'Simit' pastries and fresh sheep cheese. Today's highlight will be the ghost town of Kayaköy, reached at the end of our hike starting from Ölüdeniz. Explore the 4,000 abandoned houses that once made up the Greek town of Levissi before our short journey to Soğuksu, where our crew awaits by boat. Back on the gulet, conclude the day by immersing yourself in a well-deserved dip.

Today, we set off a bit earlier, tracing the coastline to Kaş. After breakfast on the gulet, enjoy a leisurely stroll through this charming Mediterranean town. Following our explorations, we hop into our transfer bus, heading to Sahilkılınçlı. After a short half-hour drive, we reach the starting point for our hike, rejoining the Lycian Path to reach a paradisiac bay. Welcoming us here is the rarely visited ancient city of Aperlae, adorned with city walls and numerous sarcophagi. Our ship awaits with a well-deserved lunch onboard. In the afternoon, another highlight unfolds as we sail along the Sunken City near Kekova Island before our captain guides us to a secure bay for the night.

We start the day comfortably surrounded by the tranquility of the bay. For those in the mood, a refreshing swim before breakfast awaits. Today's hike starts right here at the bay, tracing the coastline and later a dry creek bed. Our trail leads us to the Simena Fortress perched atop a hill. From this elevated vantage point, soak in the breathtaking views of a surreal landscape, stretching across to Kekova Island and numerous coves like Üçağız. We meander through the tiny village, reaching the submerged sarcophagus grave. Once again, our boat awaits and we settle into another peaceful bay for our overnight stay.

We kickstart the day with a hearty breakfast featuring freshly baked 'Poğaça' filled with delectable flavors. Our hike begins right after we hop onto land with the small dinghy. We hike towards Akbel along the ancient waterway, where aqueducts provide a comfortably low elevation gain. Nearly a third of the journey unfolds along this Lycian water channel. Following the hike and a lunch pause, we plunge into a comprehensive exploration of the ancient city of Patara for about two hours. The theatre, Bouleuterion, Columned Street, Bath, Basilica, and numerous graves stand as impressive remnants of this former Lycian port city. Naturally, we incorporate a swim break at Caretta Beach. The bus takes us back to our floating 5-star hotel.

Following breakfast on board, a 10-minute bus transfer takes us to the starting point of our moderately challenging hike along Lycian Way to Faralya. Today, we ascend from 330 meters to 830 meters as the hike promises one of the most breathtaking panoramic views. Upon reaching the village of Kirme, we will taste Gözleme and Ayran (yogurt drink). A 30-minute bus drive will take us to Amintas Rock Tomb in Fethiye, followed by a stroll through the fish market and Bazaar in the town. End the day with a sweet treat at an ice cream parlor.

For our final hike, we disembark in a secluded bay and explore the small ancient city of Lydae. Nestled at the base of this historic city, we stop by a nomadic family's dwelling. Here, with Mutlu (The Cheerful), we're invited to savor a Botanical 'Adaçayı'. Continuing our hike, we reach the remains of a submerged Roman-era bathing complex. Today, we'll indulge in the tranquility of various coves, enjoying our final swim breaks and a serene afternoon.

After the last breakfast onboard, say goodbye to your hiking group, crew and guide. You'll have a 30-minute transfer to the airport. We wish you a good flight home and goodbye (Güle Güle), until the next trip with us.
